My horse loves this bit! Both lateral and vertical flexing is easier on him, as he can feel the contact, but it is not unpleasant; no head tossing or avoidance of bit contact. The bit is well made and doesn't try to "slide" through his mouth when flexing left to right. I highly recommend this bit.
