Design-A-Saddle - Choose Your Own Saddle Options

A well-built saddle is something you will have in your tack room for 10, 20, even 30 years to come. Given a good saddle's longevity, why wouldn't you want it customized just for you? Choose your skirt, fender length, horn, tooling, stamping and more to design a saddle that is uniquely yours. You'll ride your new saddle with the assurance that Chris has tested and developed this center-ride saddle with your comfort and correct positioning in mind.

Each saddle is made 100% in the USA by master craftsmen from the highest quality Hermann Oak leathers.

When you are ready to order YOUR saddle, call our saddle consultants toll-free at 888-81-HORSE and they'll help make the saddle of your dreams a reality!

Plus, for a limited time, receive 10% off on stirrups, cinches, breast collar or pulling collars with your saddle purchase (order must be placed at same time).

Featuring numbered stirrup leathers with a patented low profile stirrup adjustment for easy stirrup adjustments (a), pre-turned fenders with the correct amount of twist for your leg (b), fender cutouts for closer contact (c) and embossed Diamond Double C logo throughout (d).

Developed by Chris after years of research and development, this hand-made saddle features a special "center ride" seat to allow for proper balance and positioning based on Chris' three seat positions. The fiberglass-strengthened wood tree is specially designed to allow for a better fit, added strength and free shoulder movement. Crafted with the finest Hermann Oak leathers, this working saddle has the exemplary qualities Chris' customers have come to expect from his hand-made equipment.

Soakin': When your horse has done something right, the best thing you can do is to leave it alone to soak up what has just happened. Just let it rest. You do this when the horse has accomplished the task with softness and give . If your horse is soft, it'll soak up the lesson because a horse's mind is like a sponge. When it's soft and pliable, it can soak up a lot. When it's stiff, it doesn't take on much.

The Leading Edge in Ground Control
$39.99

<!--a-->The Leading Edge in Ground Control In this series, clinician and educator Chris Cox teaches you how to gain control of your horse on the ground and establish a foundation of communication that will translate into the saddle. With effective, step-by-step methods you will learn how to teach your horse to respect your space and move as directed. Without a roundpen or stick, Chris will show you how to master your communication with halter and lead rope alone. By relying on simple tools and authentic horsemanship, you will always be prepared to communicate effectively with your horse, anytime or anyplace. As Chris works with an untrained young horse, you will see first-hand what it takes to establish a solid foundation on the ground. Once you've mastered your groundwork in the arena or paddock, Chris will show you how to add some spice to your learning and use your newfound skills to traverse obstacles such as gullies, logs and trees. Runtime: 1 hour 3 minutes

My husband, Jason and I recently attended the "Ride the JourneySM Tour", at Tunica, MS. And I must say, it was an awesome experience!!!! We really enjoyed it a great deal!! All the information that was given to us in such a short time really made alot of sense and made us as individuals realize some bad habits that we have with our horses!! But what probably impressed me the most is, that you seem to be very genuine and sincere about helping others rather than just trying to sell yourself!!!

Not only do I feel like my husband Jason will definetly learn alot from you to make him a better horseman but as well as a better person, by learning to take the time to be patient and have better comunication skills in all aspects. I am very grateful to have had the chance to attend your Tour!
