TV Show

sds“Chris Cox Horsemanship” airs three times a week on RFD-TV, the popular rural-theme television network available as a basic channel to 40 million homes. (DirectTV channel 379 and Dish Network channel 231.)

Taped at his Diamond Double C Ranch in Mineral Wells, TX, Chris’ half hour show features new and exciting topics as well as previous episodes that were the most requested from our viewers. Special episodes also feature Chris visiting ranches across the country to work with horses and their owners as part of our “Problem Horse Series”.

Chris’ motto of “Building Confidence through Knowledge” gives viewers an idea of what they can expect to learn. Raised on a cattle ranch in the wilds of Australia, Chris has a strong background in both Western and English disciplines. He has implemented a style and technique that has universal effectiveness, whatever the riding style. His common sense, straight forward approach enables horsemen and women at all levels to gain insight into horse behavior and leads them into a safe, versatile partnership…on the ground and in the saddle. Chris travels regularly to expos and horse events across the country, and holds numerous clinics at his 175-acre training facility near Mineral Wells, Texas, throughout the year.

Back episodes are available for just $19.99 per show, click here to browse selection.

Have a Plan: Each time you go out to work with your horse, have a plan of exactly what you want to accomplish that day. This will keep you working through a program with consistency. If you don't have a plan, time gets wasted, and you're likely to fall back on something you've already done and bore your horse, or move ahead too quickly not having thought about what your next step should be. Don't get up in the saddle and wait to see what happens. If you don't have a plan for your horse, the horse will have a plan for you.

Chris Cox Signature Fixed D Snaffle Bit
$75.00
Chris Cox Signature Fixed D Snaffle Bit

Personally designed by Chris, this signature 5" snaffle feature a unique fixed D ring snaffle. This special design helps to pick up the outside of the horse's mouth toward the direction of the rein (unlike a snaffle whose D or O ring swivels and just slides across the tongue). The special contour of the mouth piece places pressure on the bars of your horse's mouth, not his tongue. It has been Chris' experience that this special bit design discourages a horse from flipping his nose out and encourages them to soften and bend at the poll more readily. Training snaffle features stainless steel floral engraved fixed shanks and sweet iron mouth piece with copper inlay. Available in a 3/8" mouthpiece, recommended for most riders or a 1/4" mouthpiece which is recommended for experienced riders or as a correction bit.

Includes FREE 1/2" heavy harness chin strap! A $12 value!

I think the integrity of Chris' training speaks for itself. It is no dog and pony show. No glitz, no nonsense, just training.
