Importance of Three: Much of my program revolves around three's — three seat positions, three leg positions, three steps in many of the exercises (three letters in my last name). I didn't plan this, it just seems to come up often enough when working with horses that I thought I should mention it.
Relive Chris' second consecutive Road to the Horse Championship! Road to the Horse 2008 is said to be the most intense challenge to date. Relive the excitement of opening ceremonies, the running of the remuda and two days of tough competition. Watch clinicians Chris Cox, Ken McNabb, Tommy Garland and Mike Kevil showcase their talents on four untouched Quarter Horse geldings from the Wood Ranch. You can also get a behind-the-scenes look at your favorite clinician and his thoughts on the competition. Become a part of one of the most sought after equine events as these top clinicians share endless knowledge with you. This year was one for the record books, and you can experience it all on this 2008 DVD, produced by Tootie Bland and directed by John Fox.
The recent clinic in Tunica, MS was the best thing my wife and I have done since having our twins. I'm not a trainer, roper, or cutter, but still love my horses the same. The bond you have with your horse steps beyond what you breed, what you wear, or you do for a living. You helped me understand that the frustrations I have is due to the things that I don't know, not with my horse. You hit it squarely when you stated that the more you understand, the more you search to know. This weekend, I learned a lot about the mind set of horses, but I think I learned just as much about myself. It is amazing to see that the things we don't understand is often the obvious. It's the human, not the animal that over-complicates things! Perfect weekend!!
